Indonesia Mold & Dies Industry Association (IMDIA) in collaboration with JETRO and the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia held the 2nd Reverse Exhibition. The event was held for two days on 28 February – 1 March 2023 at the Ministry of Industry Building located at Jalan Gatot Subroto Jakarta.
The event consisted of seminar and exhibition. This event is one of the concrete manifestations of IMDIA, JETRO and the Ministry of Industry in supporting small and medium enterprises that are members of IMDIA to introduce the capabilities of each exhibitor company. in addition, this event also features set maker companies that still import some components from abroad to find local suppliers in order to increase the level of domestic components. Two companies have joined this 2nd reverse exhibition, they are PT. Panasonic Gobel Life Solution Manufacturing Indonesia and PT. Astra Daihatsu Motor.
The opening of the second reverse exhibition was held at the Garuda Ballroom by Mrs. Iken Retnowulan (Director of ASDIPI, Ministry of Industry) who delivered the keynote speech, followed by seminars from four speakers. The seminar themes at this event included “progress and challenge of mould/dies in Indonesia”, and efforts to domestically produce components in the automotive and electronics industry and expectations for local mould manufacturers.
After the seminar was over, the invitees went around to visit the booths of the exhibitors. The exhibitors this time were limited to 15 companies and 2 set maker companies. The exhibitors consisted of companies engaged in mold makers, die makers and several supporting industries for mold & dies manufacturing. This exhibition is the second time it has been held and is planned to be held again in 2023 by involving more participants and visitors.
